The Twelve Men Called Apostles

“Spread the word of God”

Jesus now had many followers and disciples. These men went with him on His journeys and helped Him to spread the Gospel throughout the land. Jesus knew that they were all men of true faith. All of them had left their old lives behind in order to serve the Lord, and he trusted all of them implicitly because they all possessed unwavering faith. Each of them showed compassion to others. And, though they all had flaws as each human being does, these followers were willing to spend their days mending these flaws and using all of their good qualities to further the world of the Lord.

Though Jesus did love each of these men, much like a father would love his children, he knew that there should be a select few of them for whom he should bestow special favor upon. Long after the sun went down and well after the birds had begun their night songs, Jesus and Faith felt a strange wind blowing through the trees and dancing across their faces. There had been no wind to speak of before this, and they both knew that this breeze had been sent by a Higher Power, for it was so out of place and smelled of jasmine.

Faith had been quietly dozing, but suddenly perked her head up and began sniffing the air, before jumping up from the ground and hastily dashing down the mountain again. Jesus quickly followed after her, calling out her name as He did and ordering her to stop. She carried on though, as if she were unaware of his voice beckoning her to slow her pace, and raced toward the valley where the disciples were waiting for Jesus to return from the mountain. She immediately ran for Simon (whom
